Hey,
I am 16, I got pretty good (above average GCSE'S) and I am in sixth form (UK).
But -money is tight, and now I have to pay my own way :D
So I am going to start looking for a part time job- how do I go about searching for one?
I have prepared a CV, but it seems a bit old fashioned to go trailing around companies with a CV.
If that's what it takes though :P
Anyway, any tips or suggestions?
:D
Cheers,
Jazzy

Money, Money, Money is a forum that would better serve a thread like this.

I don't know much about the UK but if you are desperate for money you could always go to the local fast food joints or retail outlets to see if they are hiring. Check out a temp agency as well.

This aint complicated. You take note of all of the stores, restaurants, etc that might hire a teenager, and go online, or if it requires, in person, and apply. If you don't automatically get an interview like some stores do (I know Kmart does this), then call the place about a week later to "inquire about the status of your application." Usually this makes the HR people who usually have to interview dumb asses just cum with excitement, and they'll write your name down and likely call you in for an interview in a few days. Well that is, if they're hiring. But if you have no limits on how low you will sink to work, you will eventually find a job. McDonalds is your friend.
