Hey everyone,
A girl I love very much asked me to make a toast on New Year's Eve. Problem is that she more or less broke my heart and I want to the toast to reflect that. I need it to be subtle because there will be a lot of people there, but I still want to make her feel what she did.
I've been going through Irish drinking toasts, and some of them are pretty good, but are too short, I won't get away with a four line toast. I've been trying to sift through song lyrics and poems as well, but I have had no luck whatsoever.
I'm looking for something along the lines of this (but longer, of course):
"Here's to those who love us,
and here's to those who don't;
a smile to those who are willing to,
and a tear for those who won't!"
Does anybody have any ideas? Really, anything would be appreciated, I'm getting pretty frustrated. Thanks in advance.
