Honestly, I just blew a load! Damn that is sexy. I'm not a fan of the active pickups though. Anyone got any eperience on a beast like this?

Going lower seems to be the trend. 6 strings. . . drop D. . . Drop C. . . 7 strings. . . Drop A. . . A Standard. . . Now 8 strings. When will it end? I'm not complaining though. Meshuggah and Divine Heresy are two bands that I can think of alread wielding 8 strings. . . I also heard Korn dipped into these for some songs.

I've got a Washburn WG-587 7 string and I love it!!! :D Anyone got a passion for the low-end also?

I've played a couple of 7-strings and still have mixed feelings, an 8-string would just be useless for me.

Meshuggah actually play 8 string ibanez icemans. Which is fucking badass.

But, I strictly play six string. I do some downtuning, but nothing past c# standard.

I agree.

Unless you're going to Drop B/A#/A there's really no point.
