Why the hell Jeff would put this place in the hands of two complete losers who probably couldn't even hand homework in on time is beyond me. With all the users here who actually give a fuck about the place, selecting these two morons sure was a weird choice to make. Just goes to show you how handing out your stuff to people just because they are your friends isn't the always the best policy.

You have one idiot who pops in every three months or so to complain about his boss (a boss who's ironically about twice or three times as competent as he is), and then you have this other clown who sits in IRC all day while his forum goes to shit, babbling like a broken record about how there really are no problems at all. What, do you have to be a useless tit to be a Totse administrator or something? Sitting on your ass all day, doing absolutely nothing, makes you a prime candidate for managing a community website? Who would'a known if they hadn't shown us the way?

Hopefully one day these assholes will come to log in and find the title regular under their name, but even that would be too generous, IMO. Ok. How about the gung-ho moderating trend that has swept through just about every forum on here. It seems like we have a few moderators like wires and oddballz194 doing a great job, but then we have useless tits like RDprogrammer and Metaphysicist running around like kids in a candy store, and 80% of them don't contribute a single thing, even in their own forums. Shit, there's about 4 or 5 moderators listed on the facing page who haven't even logged in for over three months... probably got sick and tired of the lameness and retards.

If I had to guess the correlation it would have to be the registration's opening.

Last night in SG I saw about 10 shitty youtube links piling up. I used to not give a flying fuck about it all but after seeing that kind of build up in spam I can appreciate the nonstop crap that needs to be cleansed all the time.

When it all comes down to it, Order is preferable to Chaos and its better for a few innocents get caught up with the guilty than no guilty or innocent punished.

That and I really don't see this place as anymore than an amusing diversion, much like the Simpsons, and thus lowers my need to crusade against mostly minor indiscretions made by mods.

It's to do with the propane pipe leak which has affected multiple networks. This has resulted in errors appearing in the Moderator AI.

Zok has repeatedly stated that there is no hurry to clean up any spam, and it's quite alright for you to have to shovel through it day after day. He's fine with it! There's NO NEED to do any work around here really, you see. If there was a need to do any actual work around here, and get rid of the spamming idiots, zok would know and tell us! I mean, he's here every day, right!? He's got his ear to the ground when it comes to the things a regular has to work with around here, right!? This is nothing compared to the email list/rplinca incident. People were getting banned in numbers during that time.

Well, for the record I was defending the fact that it was there last night, and is cleaned up now.

I don't exactly see how these people are trashing this place. I come here to read about drugs, music, politics and art and the only time that is ever obstructed is when some stupid, childish user fucks up the discussion process.

Realistically, how much time and effort do you demand for a website like this? Especially when such vehement hate is shown to the people who give the time and effort you demand; namely Meta.

It seems like a lose/lose situation for the mod's. Like I said though, this place means nothing to me and if someone want's to bring a measure of standards and order to it, then more power to them. It's just that it seems like the site has the standard at the moment and I just don't get all the bitching.
