View Full Version : Unless Arlovski wins via submission or a late K.O nobody will accept it.

Sad but true fact. If he does win that is. Fans and analysts the world over will not accept the fact he won and will downplay it. Examples:

Arlovski wins by:

Doctors stoppage: People will say that it was unlucky and a lucky/illegal strike that caused it and Fedor would win if it carried on. Fedor will win a rematch.

TKO (Referee stoppage): Very much like Nog - Mir this one. People will cite the Randleslam and Fujita's homerun-hook and mention Fedor has amazing recovery and awareness and would've got out of danger/finished it up shortly after. Fedor will win a rematch.

Knockout in the first few flurries: People will go to the classic excuse of it was a lucky punch that could've hit anyone; Fedor wins a rematch etc.

Decision (split or unanimous): Although not impossible it is highly unlikely in the event neither man can finish the other that Fedor could be outworked and outclassed as to lose a majority. Fans will contest this until the cows come home. A split decision will be golden for fans because they'll say the Fedor got robbed and deserved the win and will ignore Arlovski's win over Fedor.

Wildcard excuse to cover any loss: Fedor's movies, divorce, laest exploits into religion and other recent factors will build into a snowball excuse of bad preperation and that it wasn't fair on Fedor to go into the fight with less time. So on and so forth.

Unless Arlovski tires him down and knocks him out or gets a clean submission nobody is going to credit him for a win. It's very sad and demeans the sport, fans and fighters.
