Trying to find out how exactly bourbon is made..........someone I know says it is easy but online it says it is ILLEGAL and difficult, I don't care if its illegal I just want to know if its easy to pick up or not
Anyone have any links to a good how to or could write me a simple one and a materials list? greatly appreciated

The BATFE, cunts that they are, won't let you.
It is pretty simple. You start by making a grain mash [corn, traditionally] which is rather like a beer. Once it's done fermenting, you distill it a couple times to remove impurities and excess water. Then you pack it in a charred oak barrel and leave it in a warm place for a few years. Almost all of the color and flavor in bourbon comes from the wood, and apparently it still has more to give as many other whiskey producers buy up all the used bourbon barrels. Were you to skip the maturing process, you'd be left with plain old moonshine.
