I left spinach dip out for 1 1/2 days, my house is quite cold so it wasn't it any heat.
I did the smell test and it seemed okay but didn't taste.
So Totse, Is it safe to eat or should I risk it?

I wouldn't, but let us know how it goes.
I'd pitch it, personally. If it was only a couple hours, I'd say you'd be fine, but a couple days is plenty of time for some bad bacterial stuff to make it into the dairy.
Sour cream isn't that expensive, so I'd say it's better to be safe on this one.

being the cheapass i am, combined a long period of resistance building from years of eating my moms cooking, i would eat it.
though it shouldnt be very dangerous. if it looks normal, smells normal and tastes normal, then it should be fine

Just try a bit. If you feel sick throw it away but if you don't put back in the fridge.
was it covered and out of direct sunlight? If so you will prob be safe. Its not like its going to kill you.

If you're seriously that cheap I'd probably feel bad enough to send you the $2 myself for a fresh container.
