View Full Version : Dead reunion tour

LOS ANGELES — It looks like the old Dead are gettin' on.
Surviving members of the Grateful Dead say they'll regroup for a 19-city tour, their first since 2004, beginning April 12 in Greensboro, N.C.
The group, which now just calls itself The Dead, announced its plans Thursday.
For the festival junkies out there, this is going to be one crazy summer. I pretty much knew this was coming after the Obama benefit show, but getting a definite answer sure is nice.
With The Dead and Phish both reuniting this summer, acid will flow like the river Nile. I know I'll be on the road, and wondering if any deadheads in here have any plans of their own. I'll be all over the east coast so it'd be kinda cool to hook up with someone here.
Anyway, I'm super excited, and maybe some of you out there can share the feeling. Then, I also know some of you could care less.
inb4 the Grateful Dead suck.

I'm way psyched for this.
But I'm a little bummed it's not gonna be at any of the cool NJ outdoor ampitheatres. I saw them twice at PNC bank arts center (which now is the shittest place ever) and once at the tweeter center (which, despite being in camden, is an awesome place.)

I wouldn't be surprised one bit. All Good is pretty much a deadhead gathering. Bob Weir + Phil Lesh have both played there a lot, and Dark Star Orchestra has been there for as long as I can remember.
I've gone to 4 All Goods, and have every intention of making it 5 this year. One of my favorite fests. Amazing location.

the other day i was actually thinking the the headliners will be for all good, then i remembered the dead was going on tour again. they'll probably also be at the gathering and b-roo. so darkus, what year was your first all good?

2004.
Went to All Good 8, 9, 10, and 11. As you know, I missed 12, but there's no way I'm gonna miss lucky #13.

Darkus dont get freaked out, but i might have seen you. i have been going to all good since 2005. it is the best time to be had in WV. who knows, maybe you bought some mush off of me?
are you or MTC from the wv area?

I'm from south eastern PA. I think MTC is a bit closer than I am, we've talked about All Good before.
And there's a decent chance we have crossed paths. I'm the hippie with long hair.
Also, not a huge fan of shrooms. Never bought any at All Good. Acid, on the other hand...

I don't know. It won't be the same without Garcia, which is undeniable. I'll probably still see them if they tour near Southern Ontario

Got one of the shows in worcestor through the presale but I think i'm gonna try to get better seats with the general sale and then sell these bad boys. I also got a couple buddys with some of the other shows in the area...lookin at 2-3 for myself. Gonna be a good spring!
ps anyone else get hit hard with the server crash or whatever happened with the presale? I got on the site at 10 of 12, logged into my account, and then the "Server not responding" page came up. Refreshed, got thrown in the waiting room for 50 minutes....such bullshit.
