So I went out tonight to get away from the dorm and to see some fireworks. Anchorage was throwing a party to celebrate Alaska's 50th year of statehood, plenty of news cameras to wave at. I threw up the Vulcan sign to one newscrew.
But anyway, I found these 5 guys playing 5-card Poker in a place near the mall. I asked if I could get in: "50.00 buy in, man." "Sounds good." I was doing good - not great, but acceptable. Well a few rounds later 4 of these guys folded, it comes down to me and this fellow with a high-n-tight cut. Obvious what he was from the start, even before I noticed the cut. The pot is about 300.00 and he was so confident that he would take me out that he threw this on the table:

Straight > 2-pair. :)
You go to college in Alaska? Is that because you like Biology classes that include creationism or is it that there are just too many women at colleges in other states? Doesn't your governor think that Jesus rode around on dinosaurs?
But the knife is a good win. The only thing better than weapons is free weapons.

is a nice Ka-bar. But is that the small version or full size? I have both and the small one doesnt really fit my hand, but the full size is hard to conceal.

I don't go to school here, I'm stationed on Elmendorf AFB.
I researched it today, from what I see it's a Ka-Bar 7-1/2 inch serrated fighting utility knife. Now, if this isn't the full-sized one then I'm going to be afraid.
The sheath (Getting a new one because I'm not USMC) has a hole to set it up Croc Dundee style for concealment. Not like I'm planning on carrying this thing to Wal Mart :)

Your ignorance--or attempt at humor--is unbecoming.
Our governor IS a joke, however. Don't blame me, I voted for Andrew Halcro.

Nice job good looking Ka-Bar too. Funny you were probably playing a soldier and a knife fit for one ;)

I thought maybe the haircut remark would be a clue but I was a bit too vague. The sheath says "USMC" which leads me to believe this guy was a Marine. His wildeyed temper convinced me :)

Yep, they're right next door. Fort Richardson. I've had 3 of them try to take it already. Filthy meatbags. :)

If the mesurement is the entire length including the handle, then you got the small one. becuase the full size is a foot long
