I was curious if it is dangerous for someone who has never used codeine recreatioanlly (and possibly not medicinally either) to take a dose able to produce euphoria and such (around 200mg+). A friend of mine tried codeine for the first time (about 80mg) and didn't feel much at all, so I was wondering if it is ok for first timers to try higher doses.

Biologically do we need to warm our bodies into codeine, or can anyone have 200mg and be fine? If the LD50 is 800mg, I would expect that 200mg would be ok for a beginner, and more so for a beginner weighing quite heavy?

Wow dude, two hundred milligrams?! That's a bit much. The LD40 in rats is like 400 micrograms, so you only need like 23.8 nanograms for a first timer. I recommend an enema by mixing it with Frank's Red Hot.

Try anything from 60mg-150mg if you have no tolerance. Just see what happens I'm sure you'll be fine.

Codeine never did shit to me. I can't really get high off of it. Do yourself a favor and get a decent opiate.

Codiene is not recreational in my opinion, without an antihistamine to accompany it. Do yourself a favor and get some Doxalamine Succinate before you take it. The first few times I tried it were shit and uncomfortable until I got the Doxalamine, and after that it was significantly more fun.

I can't get high off of Codeine without DXM.

If I trip on the second plateau with 4-9 8/300 Codeine pills, the afterglow is very smooth and euphoric unlike a regular DXM afterglow (not anymore for me, at least).

Duration depends on how many I take. Four pills last a shorter time than nine.

Codeine has always had at least a bit of recreational value for me.
I don't really remember my dose but I remember it was over 100 for sure.
The effects were a bit euphoric with a very minimal amount of lightheadedness/ dizziness.
But every individual reacts differently to every chemical.

200mg orally. You better not sniff a single one of those.


Oh, why don't we add a thread with beginner doses of various drugs? It'l clear things up a bit.

Make shure that you are not taking too much APAP (paracetamol/acetominophene) as that could result in liver damage.

Take 200 mg and you'll be feeling good.

Dont take more than 450 because your body can't metabolize it fast enough.


If you have graprefruit juice take it 20 minutes beforehand, take an antihistamine (benadryl) to reduce itchinesss etc.

If you have any bromazepam or oxazepam take 60 of the former and x of the latter to enhance the effects.

if you do all of that you can reach a demerol-like high.

Like that other guy said, don't fucking snort any of the pills, even worse if they have paracet on them.

I combine my Codeine binges with Tramadol. Usually a nice combo. Can make you a bit nauseous though.

Thanks for the responses people. I was just worried cos I remember somewhere I heard that people with low opiate tolerance it is dangerous to take the same amount as someone with very high tolerance without warming yourself up for a while first.

Codeine was the first painkiller I ever did. 150mg and a bowl of the ganja was enough to make me feel floaty and happy. It's no longer so cool, but my liver is fantastic at metabolizing it into morphine.

You'll be fine. Keep ganja on hand in case you get nausea.

The first time I took codeine I only took like 20mg and I was feeling real nice, no euphoria, but really good mentally. And relaxed. Now I need doses up to 450mg for any recreational benefit.

As for doing codeine and smokin a bit of ganj, I did that last night and I can't say I enjoyed it much. I felt that the weed cancelled the codeine out a bit, I only got little codeine feeling here and there, and I didn't even smoke that much...

When is the best time to smoke? I smoked just before the codeine kicked in, perhaps it would be better to smoke when it has already kicked in?

How much acetaminophen is in each pill? Doses of that higher than 4 grams can be lethal.

You may be in that percentage that lacks the proper enzymes to break down codeine to morphine because codeine it self is not active.
