I'm considering buying a new TV mainly to use with my PS3.
I'm not sure what I should be considering besides screen size?
How important is 1080p? Where should I look? I've compared prizes between Walmart and Best Buy, walmart seems better. Plasma or LCD?

Resolution is great, but at distances of more than 5-10 feet the differences between 720 and 1080 start to be unidentifiable.

Another is response time. I game on a 24" Sceptre monitor with a 2ms response time and have gotten used to it. I only recently realized that that is the likely cause my melees and head shots were a bit off on my friend's 26" TV with a 6 ms response time.

Lastly: LCD. IMO they are better all around and last longer. Burn in can be a problem but isn't that hard to avoid and they look better in a wider variety of lighting conditions. Also get a few inputs on the TV/Monitor so you can easy hook up multiple systems.

This. Found a nice Samsung 46 in on Newegg.com, purchased on Amazon.com for like $500 less. I didn't actually buy it, its my family's TV, but I helped pick it out. :D
