What does it mean to be hedonistic?

Is it selfishness, or does it mean doing whatever you want to please yourself (including helping others)?

Hedonism is very flexible. Stefan Molyneux lives one of the most altruistic lives you can think of, so I'd argue that he's a hedonist. A heroin junkie, however, is also a hedonist.

That's why I consider the idea of Hedonism to be bullshit.

We put our own personal pleasure infront of everything else in our lives, it's just that some people mask it with altruistic actions.

But really, we're all just serving ourselves.

When you find true love(perfect hedonisim), the distinction between yourself and another disappears there is only union, in fact you cannot be hedonistic until you realize this.

I believe it has to do with an overindulgence of the carnal pleasures. Of course, to what extent is up to the beholder, and as for me, I don't give a shit about what he (the beholder) thinks...

Hedonism is not a synonym for pleasure. Asceticism is the opposite of hedonism or, as Yggdrasil said, overindulgence. A synonym for asceticism is abstinence.

Buddha, Epicurus, and countless others have argued in favor of the "middle way."

Epicurus basically said something like this: if the consequences of (over)indulging an activity outweigh the pleasures themselves, it is illogical to wantonly indulge the activity (hedonism). If something provides pleasure, it is illogical to abstain from it completely (asceticism).

For example: smoking tobacco is pleasurable but addiction/compulsion, nicotine withdrawal, lung cancer, emphysema, etc. outweigh the pleasure gained. Therefore, it is illogical to indulge it too much. However, tobacco nonetheless remains pleasurable. Therefore, it is illogical to abstain from it entirely, unless it's not your bag.

You can apply this reasoning to just about anything.
