View Full Version : Can Firefighters Trespass?
Unless they have a warrant and they cannot see you doing anything stupid, you can tell the police to fuck off your property. Likewise you can refuse treatment from paramedics. In these two instances the only person being disadvantaged is yourself. With fires they pose a risk to surrounding properties. So if there is a fire can you refuse firefighters permission to enter your property? What if there was no fire, can you refuse permission?
I would never consider doing this. It's all hypothetical.

If there is a fire, they can just shove you aside and enter.
If there is no fire, they can't enter without your approval.
If they suspect a high risk of fire they will have the right documents in no-time.
If they suspect a fire in any way (smoke, smell, complaints, etc) they will shove you aside and enter.
So if there is a fire can you refuse firefighters permission to enter your property?
Sure, as long as no individuals/surrounding properties are in danger. I can't imagine why someone would tell the FD off though, maybe in the event of a grow op fire. Expect the police to give you trouble, it's highly unusual to say "awww fuck it just let my building burn down".

Yes of course.

Let's not forget that most Insurance Fraud cases are done with fire and that would be a great reason to deny fireman entrance to your facilities...
It would probably void your insurance though.
