View Full Version : Pizza Hut and the "New "Healthy and Natural" Pizzas.

Does anyone believe this shit? I mean, it was possible to see it coming, but still, anyone with any belief in food should be ticked off at the idea of a cheap franchise attempting to portray itself as having "natural" ingredients. The term natural means nothing to the industry anyway, since its definition has been stretched beyond all recondition.

Of course most people here probably don't frequent Pizza Hut enough to care, but still, the idea that people are going to buy into this lie just pisses me off to no end.

The funny thing is that all the idiots will think "YAY now I don't have to feel guilty about eating it everyday!" instead of "So the pizzas before were unhealthy and they admit it?"

Random Fact of the Hour: I eat nothing but fast food such as Pizza Hut and I have seven percent body fat. My blood tests show that my cholesterol levels are in the optimal range. I exercise strenuously and consume no vegetables or fruits. Pizza Hut is every bit as healthy as whatever these faggoty organic vegan vegetarian liberal palestine-supporting taking a dick in the ass faggots on oral indulgence can create.

Truth in advertising got thrown out the window long before this. How about claims of only using fresh ingredients? Nevermind the tinned jalapenos, pineapple and olives.

Although fastfood pizza isnt good, its certainly not the worst you could do either (that title would belong to something more like potato chips). Theres the wheatflour in the base (and various additives depending on what chain it is and what base), and questionable oils, cheeses and meats used, but thats about it for unhealthiness. Not entirely sure whats in the sauce, but it cant be that bad.

They're renaming to Pasta Hut and introducing a larger range of pasta based dishes alongside their new pizzas. They're doing exactly what all the food giants are doing: capitalizing on the "healthy-eating fad" that Subway had going for it years ago.

McDonald's have been doing it for some time now. Chaging their food to smaller portions, adding nutrition info, making fancier sandwiches (ones on ciabatta styled buns, blackpepper mayo, etc) and introducing salads and lower fat options. They've even started to re-style their restaurants to look more like places such as Starbucks.

Fast-food as we know it now will become a thing of the past because these large companies will corner the "healthy" market. They're not really introducing healthy food, just fanciful options alongside their current menu.

However I think burgers and fries will be found under a drastically reduced sized, treat themed menu while subs, salads, pasta/rice pots and so forth will make up the bulk of the new menus given this new trend.

Burger King and other chains that don't change will fall into the realms of the small business, no longer able to keep up with this new fad fast-food era broguht about because people don't exercise (no pun intended) personal responsibility.

this is false. for a very long time now hardees has been out preforming most of the fast food industry. do you want to know why? well i will tell you. it aint because of theire salad bar. it is because of the thick burger and the pork chop an gravy biscuit.
for every salad eating queer boy there are at least 5 ravenous carnivores who dont give a fuck what they put in their bodies. MLK is a prime example. as long as america, an the world has more MLK's than DarkMage's i think burgers an fries will rule the fast food menu.

as far as pizza huts all natural stuff, my only real beef is with the phrase "all natural pepperoni". what do they use only the finest most natural red 5 dyes an sodium sulphates?

hahaha hardeez. the ones in my area closed several years ago. the only ones i've seen were in west virginia and they looked pretty dated. hardeez is just a poor man's arby's, with biscuits and gravy for breakfast. and you can get that at mcdonalds.

pizza hut is changing their name to pasta hut? someone told me that as a rumor they were spreading to fuck with people.

I've eaten potato chips nearly every day of my life for nearly thirteen years, would you like to explain why I am so healthy?

Hahaha, well apparently you're only 12 years old, so metabolism and puberty have not affected you yet. And you must get a lot of exercise playing spaceman outside and shit. Although I was under the impression kids today don't really go outside with all the video games and air conditioning taking over their lives.

pasta hut was an april fools day prank, but i guess some stores in the UK are actually changing to pasta hut. huh.

Puberty and "metabolism" have effected me; I'm not twelve years old, perhaps your metabolism wouldn't be flatlined if you got off of your fat ass and exerted yourself a little bit.

(a) You have a slightly unusual metabolism/genetics

(b) Potato chips make up a comparatively small part of your diet

(c) You exercise a goddamned lot

(d) Youre actually not in the great health you think you are

(e) Other, please specify: ______________________________

Other, I'm lying, the only exercise I get is when my father comes home after a hard days work and puts me to it. I haven't tasted anything other than his semen for the past twelve years, which is how long I've been on this planet.

Only the most hopelessly enslaved call troll on what they do not understand; if my words frighten you people perhaps you should ask questions, it won't hurt your reputation to stop acting like a know-it-all for a few moments. You can always go back and edit your posts and call me a troll, I promise I won't quote them.

Bill Clinton was not overweight and exercised regularly, but ate a crappy diet. He went to the hospital complaining of chest pains and they discovered he needed a fucking quadruple bypass on his heart. Almost died and all that shit, at like age 59.

Diet doesn't matter?

I use that example off the top of my head because I'm not going to even bother looking for scholarly journal studies on the issue. Quit being retarded.

Bill Clinton did not exercise strenuously nor regularly. My grandmother eats crappy and doesn't exercise, and is very likely to live to be more than one hundred years old, which will occur this decade. Longevity is genetic my friend and even if it wasn't, and if it were fact that my lifestyle would lead to death at age sixty, bring it on. I don't even want to imagine what life past forty is like let alone sixty. What's the point of living one hundred years as a slow, miserable creature such as the turtle; when you could live a day as a lion.

I'd like to add that life past age forty is like being an animated corpse; it has no prospects, unless you're extremely wealthy.

^ life past age 40 is like being an animated corpse? god you're naive. you're one of those idiot kids that sees a 45 year old person and calls them an old lady/man, i bet. i don't consider people old until they are into their 70s, as that's when most people find they feel restricted on doing things they used to do. but someone in their 60s is is middle aged these days, man.

United States — Life Expectancy: 74.37 male, 80.05 female (2001 est.)

74 / 2 = 37

You're middle aged once you're in your forties. And I'd like to add that testosterone production begins to decline in the late twenties, and lack of testosterone makes life not worth living.

anyway, remember that it is very possible for a person to seem perfectly healthy on the outside (decent shape etc), but still be incredibly unhealthy. the opposite is also true. its all about the balance of HDL's and LDLs in your system
