Since we have some form of Obesity epidemic (that is only really hitting badly in the Western world) health has become an ever growing topic in the media. What pisses me off thoguh is because people are so fat it's limiting the choices of people who can lead a normal life, one void of stuffing your face all day. Want a burger? Want to buy some full fat food at the store? It's getting harder among all these stupid low-fat, low-salt, low-fucking everything options and now it's taken ahold of the business world:


Pizza Hut will not be known as such much longer! They're renaming to Pasta Hut and introducing a larger range of pasta based dishes alongside their new "healthy and natural" pizzas. They're doing exactly what all the food giants are doing: capitalizing on the "healthy-eating fad" that Subway had going for it years ago. McDonald's have been doing it for some time now. Changing their food to smaller portions, adding nutrition info, making fancier sandwiches (ones on ciabatta-styled buns, blackpepper mayo, etc) and introducing salads and lower fat options. They've even started to re-style their restaurants to look more like places such as Starbucks.


Fast-food as we know it now will become a thing of the past because these large companies will corner the "healthy" market. They're not really introducing healthy food, just fanciful options alongside their current menu but it's a worrying start to something sinister. I predict in years to come if trends stay as they are burgers and fries will be found under a drastically reduced sized, treat themed menu while subs, salads, pasta/rice pots and so forth will make up the bulk of the new menus in fast-food establisments given this new trend. Burger King and other chains that don't change will fall into the realms of the small business or go bust because people won't buy their food given that the majority of the populace will be obese in years to come.


No longer will us normal people be able to indulge in fatty foods or anything of that nature because the fast-food industry, ready-meal industry etc won't be able to afford to not keep up with this new fad fast-food era brought about because people don't exercise (no pun intended) personal responsibility. Companies shouldn't pander to Dora Mcdangerous-waistline because she can't get over having an unhealthy option and not exercising. There are over-population problems anyway, let them die. Remember in Demolition Man where they have banned anything that's not good for you? Yeah.

Fuck fat people. Let them eat cake. Let them have their Big Macs and fries. Let them drown in Coke.

Why are you so pissed off about society capitalizing on 'healthy food'? Honestly I think it is for the better. And you know damn right it isn't just for the obesity epidemic or so you referred to it. I think that they are capitalizing on it due to the common good for people in general, and if you provide the people with an idea that someone actually cares for their health more money will be circulated. So this isn't just for the obese.

I wasn't just talking about fast-food, but that was my main example. It's becoming harder to find any product in its natural state (mayo, baked beans, soy sauce, etc) because companies are pandering to fat, unhealthy people because they've made the choice to be a slob.
