Sorry for the delay--I keep losing the issue of Knives Illustrated for which this was the cover story--but Leatherman came out with a silver-handled, 25th anniversary Charge, which sells for around $500. I think the whole idea verges on the obscene.

Check it out, make up your own mind.

Definitally not worth it. I will stick to my tried and trusted 5 year old Gerber thank you very much.

I'd think it were a great idea.... if I was a Leatherman executive.

It would be more "worth it" if they actually used precious metal and raised the price to 999.99. Putting sterling silver on something actually makes it less valuable; it's an insult to an anniversary. It should have been 99% grade silver or gold or platinum. I would rather own a fake diamond encrusted leatherman than a redneck silver leatherman.

At least Leatherman finally admit they make overpriced shit.
