View Full Version : Screwed up a bit...Girl troubles

A little background info: I'm 18, just entered the workforce - shes 21 and lives 2 hours away. I was introduced by my sister a few months ago but the meeting was short. Early December I went to a resort where a lot of people I knew where there, I made two friends that day. Her and a guy who is around 22, 23. Us three spent most of the time together and had a great time. 2 weeks later we partied at a mutual friends house on new years. We again spent most of the time together and she was really excited to see me. I'm thinking she thinks of me as a little brother or something now..UGH...

Anyways I started mingling that night, came back to them an hour later and they were flirting big time. She flirted with me a bit, even around him but then they were dancing together, leading each other around by the hand, etc. Big kick to my nuts.

Anyways she left without saying bye to me (No worries, it was a big party). Me and the guy were talking late at night. I asked if he met any girls that night. He says me and said girl got along great. She wants to get together again.

So I think I have three options:

-Still go after the girl, forget the guy. As my best friend says, who do you like more? Which I don't really wanna do as I don't wanna ruin any friendship.

-Wait till the break up or fizzle out then move in on her.

-Watch them get happily married as I either masturbate to her secretly every night while crying or move on to another girl.

What should I do...?

Something else I need advice with:

New years I got her number from the said guy. He casually gave it to me when I asked if she left. I texted her late that night (she was still driving home) and was drunk as hell after she left.

She asked who it was, I dropped a few hints but nothing to obvious. Then she she asked again I said "never mind I don't wanna talk to you as you never said bye to me tonight." (Thanks to alcohol!)

Nothing for a while. So I text back "just kidding, figured out who this is yet?"....4 days later and still nothing.

Should I call her and play it off as a joke? "Did you get some creepers text after new years??"

Call her and act as if nothing happened

or Leave it, until we cross paths at some future party/outgoing.

She obviously thinks you're retarded now. I mean, she's 22 years old for God sake, you say that kind of shit when you're 12.

That doesn't change the fact that what you said was totally fucking retarded.

I agree.

Who was debating that fact? That's why I posted here asking for help, because what I said was fucking

Edit: I'm looking for how to redeem myself.

Hmm.

Set your phone to private and call her, then apologise for how weird you were acting. Claim that you were shitfaced or something. Then ask if she wants to hang, if you get blown off then all you can really do is learn from this mistake.

Don't say dumb shit.

even if you hadn't said something really creepy it's already creepy enough that you're texting a girl who didn't give you her number.

When you say private you mean block the number right?

I was thinking something along the lines of that. I won't dwell on what I said too much and instead tell her about my weekend away.

I think I'm fretting over this way too much. Even if this girl isn't into me, she still obviously enjoys my company as a (gasp).... friend. :(

I'd find another girl man. She doesn't really sound into you as anything more than a friend, and she'd probably be a cool friend. But that's just my opinion, obviously you'd have a better idea than me, and that's why you came to totse for advice.

^Good stuff man. Contrary to what the original post said I don't think I'm into her romantically yet. Even if I was I wouldn't pursue a relationship at this time of my life. She would be a cool friend which is why I don't wanna mess things up. I'll never forget what my cousin told me: "Ugly chicks have hot friends." Although she isn't ugly it can be changed to "chicks have chick friends." The more ladies you know the more you can be introduced to.

I just wanna redeem myself so that I don't look like the socially awkward, backwards person that I am and try hard to keep hidden. :P

Tomorrow I'll give her a call, say something along the lines of "Have you been getting creepy texts after new years? *Engage in fluff conversation* "I'm sorry if I offended you or creeped you out, I was tired and a little drunk." Then I'll move onto casual things, the weekend, her day, next party/event, etc.
