Hey BLTC, something weird is happening to me. Maybe you guys can help me understand it.

First, a little background. For just over a year now, I've been using oxy 5-6 days a week, anywhere from 75-250mg per day. Recently up to two weeks ago, my usual dose was 75mg (I take the roxi 15's), but I could go as high as 120mg without trouble. Two weeks ago my supplier ran out, so I didn't dose for a week, then dosed once last Monday (75mg; felt alright), and today (Tuesday) I bought 25 pills. It's interesting but maybe irrelevant to note that I've never had any kind of physical withdrawal from oxy, despite using a fair bit more than many of you who seem to have big problems with w/ds.

Anyway, I've always found that my tolerance drops very quickly after stopping for a week or two, so today I sniffed 30mg. I got a good buzz at first, but then I felt shitty and puked. This was actually going on for a little while before I stopped, too, but it was much more pronounced after the break. Oxy used to be great, but now it just makes me feel like shit. It totally sucks.

So what the hell happened? Why don't I enjoy it anymore? I'm not using more than I used to--I'm using less, and even little doses suck now. It's not like I'm chasing my first high (pardon the cliche) and not being satisfied--It's like my body rejects the drug. Any ideas what could have caused this? Anyone had a similar experience? Is it gonna go away, or are my oxy days over? I suppose either would be welcome.

EDIT: I just puked again, five hours after my small 30mg dose today. Now I feel pretty much normal.

I can't speak from experience because I don't take opiates, and have never tryed OC; however, i'll try to help you out. This is my suggestion:

Take a good vacation from the Oxy. I mean a full break, try to totally get off them for a while. I'm talking a minimum of a month, however two months would be better.

It seems like you've been doing them too much that you're rarely even getting 'high'. You're just getting a minor buzz and it just fills the mental addiction part. You'll stop for a week to try and get tolerance down, and just start cutting into your withdrawal- then bam, you do a little bit and your body goes "wtf noo". A full detox so they are out of your system physically, then wait a while for the mental part to go away. Once you try again after (hopefully) two months, you will get a good strong high that you haven't felt in a while, plus your body can take more of the abuse.

Whats happening to you happens to me often with Speed. A long detox works wonders; really makes the high worth waiting. Just sucks trying to wait it out- stupid addictions :P

Yeah, because everyone knows that getting adverse effects from an addictive drug that you use 5-6 days out of the week just means that you need to do more of it more often.

that's crazy how you haven't moved to higher dose pills than just those roxy 15's. Maybe you're getting a deal on them, so more power to you. An addiction to anything is bad and no matter how little physical withdrawals you had, you're still addicted. If you kick the habit for a month or two, you will clean out your body, but maybe you'll also have a lot more money to spend on other things than oxy or have something else to look forward to during the day then, "when am I gonna be able to get high next."

I always wanted to know how I could afford my habit. The OCs and cash just seemed to fall into my lap. Whenever I'm flat broke I always end up with some cash through honest means whether I find some kind of odd job and get $20 or someone gives me cash for some weird reason. The best one was when someone filled up my tank with gas for giving them a ride. I told them they didn't have to but they insisted. Also when I was dopesick someone would always get me high without me asking for anything. The best one was the time I just found a morphine pill. I was a very happy junky.

Oxycodone is a VERY strange opiate from my experience. Sometimes I get high as a kite and other times I don't feel shit but feel LIKE shit. I like hydromorphone better :)
