Well I got a big school dance coming up and I need some ideas for asking out a purty lady. I don’t wana just straight up go up to her with flowers and ask her out. So what do y’all think?

Whatever you do, don't do it via myspace/facebook/text/IM/any of that shit.

Assuming your friends with her already, just call her if you don't have the balls to do it in person and just say something along hte lines of "Hey the dance is coming up and I think you and I would have a good time together so I was wondering if you'd go with me?"

I don't know that's how I'd do it I guess..I haven't had to really ask a girl to a dance because I've had a girlfriend for our past few dances so it's a given that I'm going with her.:(

The easiest way is to ask her to the dance straight up. In the end it is much easier than going threw all the hassle of coming up with a way that you won't look "dumb"..
1. If she says yes, then it doesn't matter how you asked. It worked, all that matters. No shame in that.
2. It's not the end of the world if it turns out bad. Few days of "lolwut waz I thinkin'", about it.

Just walk up and ask her. Doing it any other way could creep her and it would be no. If you have the balls ask her in front of her freinds, she might admire you for that.

Have you ever seen the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? The part where one of the Weasley twins gets the attention of a girl across the room and mouths, 'you wanna go to the ball with me?' and then mimes dancing?

You should probably do that.

Get girls to ask you. It's what I did for prom and it works much better. Didn't feel like I owed anything because of it.

Or stage a fight with a friend in front of her over who gets to ask her and set it up so you win.
