View Full Version : Codeine crystals not dissolving
Hey all,
I did a CWE and evpaped the liquid into crystals, but then I tried to dissolved some in water again but none of it dissolved?? I've done the CWE many times with great success and when I've evaped it and taken it it has worked... but why won't it dissolve in water now??? Makes no sense to me..

Do you really want the answer to that question?
Are you willing to take the work it would take to try to answer that question if someone walked ya through it? 'cause I'm not going to take the work to walk you through creative analytical chemistry if you don't give a shit...
I really, really DO give a shit...
also... is there a way to test how pure it is, how much apap got carried through??

C'mon Joe, for him it'll be like christmas all over again..

If you can get it to dissolve... yes.

Great!!
For starters, mix about half and half some sulfuric acid, and some formaldehyde. Toss a small piece of crystal in it, and tell us if it changes colors...
This should allow us to determine, hopefully, if there *is* codeine in there...
After that we get creative.
Ok, once I find some I will indeed try this. I might also add that I did take some and I definitely felt the codeine. Also, I weighed it and it weighed 2.6g (11.5 boxes of panadeine 15) total codeine pills adding up to over 2g of codeine. The total APAP adds up to 60,000g. The end product only weighs 2.6g and 400mg (which I weighed) had strong codeine effect... There must be less than 2.6g of APAP seeing as my codeine tolerance has almost reached the limit (needing atleast 350mg to feel anything)... I don't understand how there could be less codeine than APAP short of being a chemist... but I will try this method.
