so i've got a wedding coming up.

ive got the suits, the shoes, the shirt.

now just a question regarding ettiquette.

i purchased a few tie+pocket square+cufflink sets.
they are rather flashy.

would it be a good idea to where these?

would i look like a douche trying to upstage the wedding
or would i look trendy?

the suit is greyish silver.
it's got straight pinstripes with a blue pattern going diagonally through each pinstripe.

the tie is a bright pink/pink/white checkered style.

the groom would be wearing a traditional black tuxedo with a bow tie i imagine

If your words are an accurate description, this sounds really (really) fucking ugly.

Yeah...I'm finding it hard to picture this suit without it turning out a mess.

Post pics.

I know for a fact the old grey suit with white shirt and pink tie works a treat. I personally wear this little combo to work with the shiniest black shoes you could think of. Not quite sure what you mean about the blue diagonal pattern, just make sure the Blue does'nt clash with the tie or anything. I'm sure you won't upstage the GROOM. He will probably wearing this type of tie with waistcoat:

Your outfit should be sound as long as your not the best man or anything, then I would suggest a black suit/tux with black bowtie or just normal tie. You could always post pics (Possibly after the wedding as I assume pics will be taken there anyway) and we could have a better insight.

I'm Scottish, we wear KILTS to weddings, now THAT would be upstaging the groom :p

hmm..

well i didn't describe it properly.
nice suit.

2 button, 2 vents.
best suit i have so far.

cost $700.
though by the end of the year, hopefully i'll have a few more suits.

i found out that the clothes i wear
would actually be more expensive than just getting an average $300 suit.

well the blue is very subtle.
it's more of a greyish blue.

can't see it unless your up close.

i scanned it here.

can't even see the blue

i was thinking of wearing the cherry checkred tie because i'll be wearing a light pink shirt.

or maybe a green striped patterned tie?
will it go well with the pink + grey?
i know it goes well with the gray but effy with the pink.

hehe alright guys,
so i'm set.

grey suit, green tie, pink shirt.

tie's quite elaborate.
it's a beautiful dark green with light green patterns going on the diagonal.

pink shirt is light pink with pink pinstripes

hehe ok
i look like a texas oil tycoon in the green tie.
pretty much because the green resembles the $100 bills around here.

good bad?

i ment as in,
instead of coming to celebrate their wedding,
it would appear i would of come to-well dressed?

The pink/green combo will clash especially with blue/grey in the mix. Just wear a solid pink tie, white shirt, grey suit - can't go wrong.
