Had my first apt with a suboxone doctor today for my opiate addiction. It was alot different from what suboxone.com and other people described to me what it would be like.

At the apt they tried to make me watch a video on suboxone that I already watched, and I knew more than the nurse did on suboxone. After that they took my vitals and shit, and the doctor came in to talk. He basicly asked what opiates I used, dose, and how I used. I told him Oxy 80-120mg a day and snorting mostly. He checked my back and chest for lung problems that may have been from snorting, non were found.

He script me 16mg a day @ 4mg four times a day. Told me to take 8mg when I got home because they dont dose you at the office. I took 4mg when I got home and it did the job so I will prob try 8mg a day to save a few pills because its pricey as hell. A two week script of 30 8mg pills was supposed to be $200 but I had a Rx discount card so it was $170. The office vist was $250. So $420 total.

you got an insurance card that only deducts $30 from your fucking total? shitty. anyways good luck, try to keep the state of mind that this is a bridge to sobriety, a short term project not a long term bandaid you know? this is just the doorway to sobriety and normalcy again, an opoid blocker can't give you will power to maintain sobriety only you can. once you're back to normal and no longer in need the real challenge begins.

I hate to steal the thread but it was right on top so I figured why make another one? If you are not dependent on opiates and you shoot up a mg or 2 of 8mg suboxones, will the nalaxone still send you into withdrawal? or is this just with addicts?

if you have the slightest bit of opiates in your system, like just a casual user and you take it, the shit will send you into a 5 minute withdrawl session including seizures and other shit, happened to my buddy first time he ever did dope and ODed they gave 'em the shit thinking he was a regular user and sent him into a siezure, i'd assume it's the same concept with having no opiates in your system. why the fuck would you fuck with suboxone for recreational purposes? are you stupid or something?

i took 4mg once when i wasn't an opiate user and it made me feel like death for like 2-3 days, nothing else, no euphoria or enjoyment just feeling sick and shitty.

No. Bupe has a higher affinity than nalaxone. So IVed as long as you dont have any opiates in your system the Bupe and Nalaxone will reach your recpetors in your brain at the same time and battle to attach themselfs. The bupe having a higher affinity will take over. It may take a few minutes for the high to hit because of the chemicals battling for recpetors.

It was a decent method but I started using again and got crazy W/Ds, and had no other drugs to fall back on. If I had my GHB I would be fine, but my mom offered to pay for suboxone so I took her up on it.

Dude DO NOT SHOOT SUBOXONE. if you want to shoot dope then GO GET SOME FUCKING DOPE. Save the suboxone for people who actually need it and are actually trying to get clean.

Also you don;t want ANY of the advers reactions that come from shooting suboxone. If it is absolutely a must then you want to get subutex to shoot.

The naloxone will send you into precipitated withdrawals if you are dependant on opiates and they are attached to the opioid receptors at the time of injection. It really doesnt mtter because the bupe will ALSO CAUSE PRECIP W/D.

Maybe you are thinking of alc or benzo withdrawal. Your friend must of had another condition or somehting. Opiate withdrawal symptoms:
Dysphoric mood
Nausea or vomiting
Muscle aches/cramps
Lacrimation
Rhinorrhea
Pupillary dilation
Sweating
Piloerection
Diarrhea
Yawning
Mild fever
Insomnia
Craving
Distress/irritability

also 4mg is WAY to much for someone with no tolerance that is why you felt like shit. when bupe is prescried for painkilling effects it is prescribed in doses like .2mgs. If you would have taken like a half mg or mg it probaly would have given you positive effects.
