So i just picked up a nice handle of jack daniels, i read in some thread that beef jerky in jack daniels is really good. It sounds like it should be really good i mean salty shredded meat and whiskey what the hell sounds more manly and delicious than that? Anyway i was wondering if you have tried it what does it taste like, and what kind of beef jerky should i get? my friend said i should get the shredded kind in the dip looking cans but i think it will taste better with some quality beef jerky.
Sounds rank, my friend. Eating jerky with whiskey? I can deal with that. I can't imagine actually placing it in the whiskey, though.
Jack Daniels has a brand of jerky, I believe, but I'd wager that its horribly overpriced and of roughly the same quality as any commercial beef jerky.
Jack & jerky is my deer camps breakfast. Odd that you would mention that out of season. We usually have last years homemade deer jerky though, and only a shot or two before sunrise.
Then again we are the only people around for a few 100 acres, and are well out of shooting distance of each other(so don't bitch about drinking and hunting).
Anyways I would recommend going to costco or whatever large supplier and getting a discount on jerky for buying bulk. That is if you don't know someone who makes their own.

Or make your own. Not terribly difficult, and far superior to the stuff you buy in the store.

In the "most MANliest Drink" thread the second post mentions the "mantini" which is JD and beef jerky. Then later on in the thread someone says they tryed it and it is good, also one of my friend supposedly tried it and said it was good. So i figure i'll give it a shot i mean whats the worst that can happen? i mess up one shot of JD, not the end of the world.

Hi, I was the one that mentioned trying that in that particular thread (as well as some other thread here). What I did was shred venison jerky in a blender, I then put it in a glass and added JD. It enhances the flavor of the jerky, chew down on it. You would probably be better off buying some shredded jerky from the store as I have the luxury of having access to a blendtec blender and I don't know if any other kind will do. Anyway, I hope you enjoy, despite what people think it's really fucking good. I even thought it sounded good before I tried it, but then again bunch of slack jawed faggots around this forum.

Thanks for the post martian, yeah the only beef jerky i really would have access to is nasty gas station/grocery store shit. I mean it still might be worth a try but i dont think god himself could enhance the flavor of that dreadful stuff.

Yeah I know what you mean man but last time I was in the hill country you could drive outside of Austin and every couple of miles you would find a vendor selling pre-packaged yet surprisingly good jerky.. The gas station stuff becomes much better with JD in fact it's quite amazing what it can do.. Adding a little MSG (it's easy to find commercially) is great as well..
Another thing I recommend, something equally manly, find Spritz brand sunflower seeds (either chili lime or dill pickle flavored) and shred those up really nice in a blender (with the shells) chew on that with some JD, nice and powerful. Let us know what you think it would be nice to popularize this idea (I assume it hasn't been) and to give credit to whichever genius here on totse thought it up.
This thread is quite lulzy indeed. Our favorite troll has acquired a victim.

It depends on the store. The deli I go to has the best jerky I have ever tasted. And we owned both http://www.smokehouseproducts.com/product_images/full/9894.jpg andhttp://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t310/swamprb/smoker1.jpg at one point;)

Jack has a tendency to make anything you mix it with taste pretty good. I remember being completely out of everything and mixing Jack Daniel's and diet coke, which on its own tastes awful, but mixed together tasted amazing. Therefore, Jack 'n' Jerky could very well be quite tasty.
But it still sounds rank, albeit manly.
