Where the comedy movies aren't hilarious but thought provoking, the dramas are not tear-jerkers but rather suspenseful, and the action movies don't have headshots but are thrilling.

Yup, pretty much Hollywood movies with an indie/foreign feel.

Now even being Canadian I haven't seen too many Canadian films but here are the ones that stand out:

Bon Cop, Bad Cop - Comedy about a criminal case on the border of Quebec and Ontario. 3 hockey pucks/5

Hard Core Logo - Misrepresented as a comedy. A Hard Core band goes on a reunion tour "I can't come to the phone right now, I'm eating corn chips and masturbating. Please leave a message."

Sunshine - Better than Schindler's list. That's right, 4 circular bacon strips/5

Meatballs - Comedy with Bill Murray. I loled

Freddy Got Fingered - So bad its funny. Received negative one of 5 stars. I enjoy it though

The Rocket - Excellent movie about Maurice Richard. The french-canadian hockey player in the 50's. Watch this movie if you like hockey, dramas, sports or inspirational movies, or french canadian rights.

A history Of violence - A man becomes small town hero and attracts Mob attention. 4 beavers/5

Porkys - Canadian American Pie from the 80's set in the 50's

As a fan of the Show Kenny Vs. Spenny I'd be sick not to mention it. Hilarious. Viewed in 50 countries and versions authorized in another 20. They also have two documentaries:

The Papal Chase - Kenny Hotz tries to meet the Pope to win a bet when the Pope came to Toronto. A documentary. Enjoy him dressing as the Devil and walking around the field where tens of thousands people came to see the Pope. Massive lulz.

and Pitch. About Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice trying to pitch their script at the Toronto film fest and in L.A. Documentary with lots of star appearances. Pretty boring though...

The ones in bold are necessarily better, just they have that Canadian film feel.
