I have an inbuilt mic on my laptop. I would like to use sound recording software to record sound that goes through the sound card (stuff like audio from Youtube). However, it keeps trying to record sound from the mic, and I cannot find a setting to change the input. Any help appreciated.

WHat brand and model laptop? There may be a way to disable it in Control Panel or on the task bar.

I've tried that, but the software tellsme that there's an input error if I disable the mic.
