I thought starting a cult might be an interesting and profitable bad idea that has not been discussed before. After witnessing the cultism of Barack Obama in the US , I realized that perhaps deep down inside America wants to be in a cult.

I have researched different cults in the past and found out that the leaders usually just get followers to preform various labor tasks like making incense and soap in exchange for a place to live for free / free food.


so here's my hypothetical plan to start a profitable cult:

1.make up your own crazy religious doctrine, but make it sound believable and appealing.and don't make it look like a cult.

2.find/build/steal property to make into cult compound

3.promise free food and shelter in exchange for labor

3.turn labor into profit (sell incense and soap to places)

this is the basis to it. After you make some good coin you can start getting some cool shit, like security guards. To help start making money you can maybe start a fake charity in the name of your cult for sick kids of something. Write a book about your beliefs to make it look real.
