Hi there folks!

I am very curious about electronic detonation, and my aim is to acquire the enough skill to build a switch detonator and a time-delayed one.

About the first one: Should be a mere switch or button and should work on distance. This means no cable, radio activated (I believe these are the correct terminology)

About the second one: I don't want a clock timer. I prefer a digital one so when it reaches to zero starts a spark in the explosive component. This doesn't need to be working with radio technology at all, it should be more like a "place, program and forget" device.

Obviously I am not going to ask you to make me a full diagram of this. Those are my intentions.

The bad thing is I know jack shit about electronics, not to mention electricity except that the electric company will name a street after me in gratitude for my paid large bills... Fuckers...

What I ask of you is if someone could reccomend me a book/e-book or source where I could learn these skills. Any page, forum, place where you learned your current skills.

Thank you in advance.

Shit, I messed it up.

I meant REMOTE CONTROL, not Radio. Pardon me.

Remote control without wires, is radio, IR, laser, sound, or something similar.

Either way its electronics. Not pyrotechnics.

Radio can be dodgey with interference. I remember someone trying to make a setup with walkie talkies a long time ago and getting nowhere.

I made a remote det setup with an ancient Nokia once, never got to use it in the field but it was awesome to have. I
more or less just removed the vibrating motor and soldered wires going to a filament in it's place.

Why build when you can buy, and cheap to!

They also have do it yourself electronic det:

And homemade:

And if not any of those go by a remote control car from walmart for like $5 and toy around with it.
