a lot of e-books are in .lit format and there is no .lit reader for my phone. i have some books that are are in html and i can open them on my phone web-browser.
i would like to convert the .lit books to html and keep the intext links (chapter links). this has proven a futile task so far. i have managed to convert it but the links are then text
so instead of cursing microsoft for releasing a closed standard that has VIRTUALLY NO features that standard html does not have and crying in the corner, i ask you two seeming simple questions:
1) any idea on how to convert .lit to html and keep the links
2) why does microsoft do this? ebooks are not a threat to its OS monopoly, office monopoly or any monopoly they may have. is it "not invented here syndrome"? because that's all i can think of.
