The media has been diluted to 15 minutes of fame politicians which seems to be a main influence of youtube clips and the random video sites being broadcasted on major news channels atleast in america that is. Politics are overrun with this attitude of a get in get out scandal . "Joe the plumber" "DONT TAZE ME BRO, dude" "NJ congressman" . It's funny that Obama hasnt even been sworn in and already were already sick of him. As if his 15 minutes are over. I know this is poorly structured and kind of hard to reply to but the internets impact of all our lives has diluted our attention span to such a microscopic point where even leaders bore us in a matter of months

The Internet and the ADD Nation.
That could be a great title for a Morgan Spurlock documentary on how internet culture has affected behaviour in contemporary America and how it exerts an influence on the younger generation, leading it to acquire information, new trends, fads very quickly, but also to abandon them at the same pace.

tl/dr
American's are batshit insane about their rights and freedoms etc.
So the Internet must be saved at all costs.
to me the internet is one of the last bastions of Free Speech and yet still has this evil darker side that does corrupt, yes it lets people do whatever the hell they want. Like googling how to make a(n) [insert random thing here] or something yet if you look hard enough there are things that are horrid and just some things that are there to fuck you up that could may or may not corrupt people.

okay after trying very hard to decipher that block of text. i think what you are trying to say, is that because of the vast majority of people being connected or even tethered to the internet and the proliferation of short viral video clips it is somehow affecting all other means of media (in your case the news ) and somehow you say that this corruption of legitimate media outlets is somehow reducing our attention spans and we no longer care about our politicians after there 15 minutes of fame is up...
interesting thought but
a) retarded , the proliferation of short viral videos (even if they did affect us in a negative) is HUGELY outshadowed by the other benefits the internets provides ( one example in direct opposition to your argument, the internet allows people to access information on world events, out side of the government controlled fourth estate and allows them to form their own opinions) i for one get the majority of my international news from al jazeera english.
b) just because people watch these short 'youtube' clips does not somehow mean that their attention spans are being someshow shortened. and if it is, i implore you to provide some evidence, and since i cant be bothered to come up with evidence of my own i move on
c)have you ever considered that there no longer a media obamania because he has won. there is no longer the desperation to get him into office and thus the surge in media on obama is over because he has won the race. However, it is stupid to say his fame is up when he hasn't even been inaugarated (however the fuck u spell that ) and i would hardly consider his fame to be 'up' as you say when free tickets to his inaugaral ceremony is selling at 40,000 dollars and the entire tourist industry of (DC i think) is compeltely congested and so are nayboring cities.
just because its no longer trendy to spew obama slogans on any thing that moves, does not mean NOBODY has interest, i for one have been closlely following his moves (ie. his plans to combine the DoD and NASA are one of the more interesting moves he has made)
that is all.

I think that the internet allows more people to get their 10 seconds of fame than previously in years past.
