I'm assuming you have a mac? if you have a pc, then its pretty simple....

No i have vista but the simple method through my computer doesn't work because it doesnt let me open my ipod hard drive file

Try this - restart your iPod : press and hold at the same time the menu button and the center button until the Apple sign appears on the screen.

here is the method I use:

1) download yami pod
2) connect ipod
3) drag and drop all music from the list into a folder

4) the ipod(well In my case) apears to have lost all its music when restarted and Itunes say's its got no music either

5) so just click ok to the restore that Itunes has prompted you with and all the music thats on your pc will now be back on your ipod as well.
