Hey,

First time in this forum. Seems like a pretty sweet place, I was expecting to see ("OMG THE DEAGLE IS THE EPITOME OF FIREARM EXCELLENCE, IT DO GOOD IN COUNTER STRIKE!)

But I didn't see that, its intelligent discussion, which is a + in my book.

Now onto my dilemma:

I had a SOG Flash II that I got at lowes with a giftcard I recieved for my birthday last year. It has an assisted opening, and was a pretty solid knife, though the blade was pretty damn lame if you'd ask me, it stayed sharp, but the actual blade itself was made of garbage I think.

That was stolen from my jeans pocket at the gym the other day, someone broke into my locker and took it along with the $13 dollars in change I had in my wallet, (they left the credit cards? wtf?)

So now I'm looking for a new pocket knife, like 4-6 inches folded length and a blade thats close to that.

The brand doesn't so much matter to me as long as its a good quality knife / blade. I don't give a shit if its assisted opening or not. I just feel so empty without a pocket knife, its always when you don't have one that you run into situations where they'd be handy, and I've hit a few of those in the few days since I've lost it.

Thanks.

This will be a "i have heard from a dude that has got a sister that is married to a guy that's a navy seal" post but whatever.

I would recommend Gerber Gator 2, it's extremly cheap for its quality, i have not heard anything bad about the knife except that it is small for big hands. And i've read about it alot.
