Right i have a burning question which relates closely to my personal life, the question is: is love a timebased feeling or not?
Not wishing to get into all the love at first sight discussion what i mean is if for example take a boy and a girl for politenes's sake (could be a gay couple too) and place them on a desert isalnd would they fall in love just by virtue of the fact that on that island they are the only two capable of doing so or will they fall in love only because after years of beeing togheter for such a long time its the only thing left to happen?
And now move this cuple back to the world skipping all the traumas and media attention would that love last on or will it fade?

tl&dr
is love down to time inconditionally of what the two parties may share or as in todays world we have little time we settle for what we like and thats that?:confused:

I think it would really depend a lot on the two people. If they're compatible and interested in each other then who's to say it couldn't happen?

I think if you had two immortals on the other hand, who were in love, it probably wouldn't last. People change and people get sick of the same thing. Of course, people aren't immortal but you've got my opinion.

right agree on the immortals bit yes but see the desert island scenario trakes away all the compatibility probles since well there is no one to be compared with hence why im asking if they then went somwhere that there are other things to be compared with how will they'r love fare?

See, every time a guy and a girl get stranded on an island in fiction, they both are young, pretty, healthy, and ideal for each other. No surprise that they end up falling in love.

Now, imagine yourself getting stranded on an island with some ugly, annoying bird that disgusts you. Don't think love will happen there - murder/suicide is the more likely option.

I knew from the first night I was with my man it was going to be a (love) situation...
I just felt like it was ...right...if there is such a thing as "the one" I know I am with him..

never EVER had those feelings for anyone before or since..but I guess it depends on how well you get to know them ect.
