Would it be a good idea to use a self storage garage or one of those 18 wheeler cargo trailers as an "office" to stash your shit?
What are your ideas on this? Where to get one? Any way of lighting it, heating/ cooling it? Price?
I thought of this idea from Lord of War, he uses a trailer to stash some guns, passports and stuff.

It will cost far too much to stash some shit. And where would you park it? Installing heating and lighting would cost a pretty penny as well. How about a generator and some fuel? Not worth it in my book. Buy a house.

I've been on jobs where they used a semi truck trailer as an office/storage room. It had lighting. The heating/cooling was just one of those electrical radiator kind and a couple of those desk fans for cooling.

You might be able to find an old beat up trailer for $3000-$7000.

In lord of war, he had a shipping container. A 40' container is usually around $2000-$4000. Delivery is going to be $100-$500. Then you have to take into account the property it sits on. You might be able to find a cheap lot to park it on, but then you risk it getting broken into.

Even though a house/shipping container would be more practical/cheaper, we are all forgetting the one thing a trailer has that these dont. . . . Mobility. if the shit hits the fan he can get his trailer and high tail it to mexico. Hell with your trailer youll have the biggest house in the whole country.

containers aren't that expensive, and are a good investment, because the price will never fall that low if you ever want to sell it.

Alot of dealers use that shit because A) bad to run a business from your house B) its safer. Just transfer what you plan on storing in small amounts that way if you ever get pulled over the crime will be less. Self-Storage is a great investment and its only like $20 a month here fo a good 5x10.

If you get yourself a container yeah you can do some crazy shit to it. Although getting that big of one used can run you up to $5,000. I would rather just do self-storage, that is me and the owners will not do some yearly inspection thing either its kind of like running your own site off another host where they safe guard your storage for privacy reasons unless law enforcement has a warrant. Thats what the told me when I asked them.
