I had an experience with bipolar mania that was more than likely drug induced and was by far the most intense "high" I've ever experienced. I wrote an entire novel about it that may just get published after I get it edited, so you might be able to read all about it, but I'll sum it up for you here.

I just got prescribed prozac and was using marijuana, alcohol, and salvia heavily every day for a couple weeks. Then I started to lose it. I was going crazy! It was the craziest high I every experienced. Imagine a coke high that is ten times more intense, lasts about three or four weeks, and the comedown lasts about three months. It was really that intense. I eventually had to be hospitalized because I was doing crazy shit. I went to the hospital three times, it's all documented in my book.

But that was a long time ago. It's been awhile, and I've adjusted to the illness. I'm reaching a point where I can almost control it and create a natural high whenever I want by manipulating how much I sleep and what I do and things like that.

Has anybody else here had experiences with being manic? I'd be really interested to hear about them!

Peace & Regards

I have only one instant message program, AIM; as st0ut4thousand, the first 0 is a zero. Hit me up and I'll send you the rough draft; I only have about the first four chapters edited.

The book is more or less literary non-fiction. It's also kind of a satire on the modern psychiatric industry and mental illness in general. My character is kind of like Holden Caulfield's alter-ego with bits of my own personality mixed in. My professors who have read said it was pretty good. You might like it.
