View Full Version : Oxycodone and nausea

I've got some Perc 2.5/325 after my surgery today. I don't think I'll need it, but who knows, there might be pain. I don't think I've ever had an opiate, so I'm wondering as to the dosage to take and how to best avoid side effects such as nausea (I heard it's common). The bottle says to take 2.5-5g every 4-6 hours, so am I lead to believe I can't easily OD on it?
And I have to say, I am slightly curious. I'm a liberal psychedelic user and strongly against opiates, but I figure I should try it once just for the hell of it because I probably won't get a chance to again (or want to again). I've heard withdrawal is gonna be a bitch, even if I just take a few pills here and there.
Also, it is good to mix with a joint or would it be bad chemically?
EDIT: Yes, I know I'm lame. Fuck off, I'm perfectly content with weed and acid for the rest of my life, no need for opiates, hence why I don't know shit about them.

1) You will not get addicted (hence you will suffer no withdrawl symptoms) merely on your post-op supply.
2) 15mg-20mg is the most recommended starting dosage (shoot for 17.5mg ?)
3) How can you be against opiates if you've never even tried them!?
4) Opiates feel damn good, chew them vigorously and savor the chalky taste in your mouth
5) I'd suggest taking them alone, without weed, just so you can gauge the effects without the influence of weed.
6) You will not OD, you could probably down the entire bottle and the worst that would happen is you would puke your guts out
7) Nausea's never been a problem for me and I have a moderately sensitive stomach. Just stay still, believe me, you won't want to move around much once they kick in ;)

when you fuck with opiates you are opening a pandoras box man. a warning. anyways
2.5 mg is nothing , epecially with the dulling the APAP is gonna do...
i suggest you smoke a bowl/joint and take 3-4 percs. they combine nicely. although you may feel a bit nauseous although if you get high it wont be much of a problem, also
it takes months and months of severe opiate abuse for you to get anything you really wouldnt be able to handle.

This. But I'd only take 4 of those at a time, because you need to watch out for the acetaminophen content. Plus, as a first timer, 10mgs will likely get you where you're going. Damn all this talk of opiates is making me fiend out... gotta go.
