View Full Version : Abortion: A Human Right

Abortion is often lauded as one of the most fundamental of women's rights. Nothing could be further from the truth. The concept of abortion as a woman's right, like all "women's rights" is nothing more than a victim card played by women because in today's society it is more beneficial to be an "oppressed minority" than it is a member of the social elite. In today's society people actively want to be "oppressed", because it is not true oppression; but a "get anything you want" free card.
Abortion is a human right. A man has just as much right to abort a fetus as does a woman, and woman is obligated to comply. A man's DNA is just as much his as the woman's body is hers, abortion cannot be considered an infringement of anyone's rights (aside from the fetus in late trimester) as the child is just as much man's as it is woman's.
If there is anyone stupid enough to disagree with me, please leave your opinion on this matter by clicking the "post reply" button you see at the bottom of the page where you can type your commentary as well as add any optional emotiocons (although it is not recommended) and submit the reply by clicking the "submit new post" button you see below the message field. Your reply will then be submitted and other people can read and respond to it.
Property rights begin with your body. Any denial of a woman of sound mind's control of less than 100% of her body is an infringement of her property rights. Tell your sperm not to trespass next time.

I don't think you could ever win this argument. The fact that the woman's body would have to be subjected to the abortion procedure or the birth process means that she should have the final say. (Abortion procedures have a potential risk for preventing future pregnancies, and birth always carries a risk of death or damage with it.) However, an unmarried man should never have an obligation to raise or support an unplanned child.
The arguments that shift the blame to the man and portray him as some reckless, irresponsible impregnator are pathetic and sexist (good job, Zay). They conveniently ignore the woman's responsibility (particularly the fact that she has many more birth control options than men), the fact that she has around 3 months to decide whether she really wants to have the child, and the fact that the single, career-less woman who refuses an abortion is making an extremely reckless, irresponsible decision.

Likewise, any denial of a man's sound mind control of less than 100% of his his DNA is an infringement of his property rights. When a woman gets an abortion that a man objects to, it is considered okay, but a man could never get an unwilling woman to abort. She should not have allowed him to ejaculate in her cunt. In today's society having a child affects the father more so than the mother, all she has to do is get welfare and stay at home with the baby, in fact it's fun; but for the man he must either join the military or get a menial job for the rest of his life. Man is affected more so than woman by pregnancy and he has the right to choose whether or not that fetus is born.
And DerDrache I couldn't agree more with you, excellent points you got there.

The conundrum posed by this thread is a prime example of why I believe the concept of rights is bullshit. Nature doesn't care about your "property rights".
Rights are just another example of fallible law created by fallible humans, and are a poor concept to base a society upon.

Stop being retarded. Anarchy would never work.

I would love to live in an anarchistic society. It wouldn't "work", in that faggots wouldn't have the right to free healthcare and immigrants would get the fuck out pronto. More government = bad.
