I personally don't play sports games,but i'm surprised that I haven't seen more hockey and NASCAR games out this generation.

Sport video games;

Step 1; Find hole in defence.
Step 2; Exploit en mass.
Step 3; ????
Step 4; Profit!

Multiplayer is the only way these games survive in the market.

Thats not to say dropping your stick and beating the crap out of the opposition isn't fun as hell, though.

Is it on PC? Sports games dont fare too well on a keyboard though. I enjoyed sports games on 360, but I've swithced to PC gaming and dont have a game pad :(

Can't you use 360 controllers on PC?

Shouldn't be too hard to pick up a cheapo logitech pad or something.

I actually do have a gamepad, but its fucked up. Last I tried to use it on was NFS:undercover and it makes my car steer to the left for some reason. The left analog stick is fucked. I've tried blowing in it, but to no avail. I'll take the air compressor to it to try and clean it out if its dirt that is the problem.

edit: and what do you mean they stripped everything out of the PC version?

heh.. now, i like games but... maybe not that much.

I've got this one on the 360 and really like it, but i remember playing 07 a hell of a lot more for its arcade factor (and speed boost button).

But it's definitely better than the 2k series imo.

"Playing NHL 09 is like a new-age blast from the past. It moves and looks like something from 1995, but the gameplay somehow still manages to work. Slapshots have the requisite amount of speed, passes feel solid, and while the play creation tool isn?t quite what is on the 360 and PS3, the game still has a solid list of modes and features. The online play is the biggest disappointment and is almost unusable. At a price of twenty-dollars this game would have been easier to recommend but at a steeper forty-dollars there?s no way that people should invest in an experience that they could have gotten years ago.
