my uncle who is a firefighter said that sometimes they make up big batches of chili, soup, or stew in the washing machine at the firehouse. they use this to feed like 20+ big guys. he said you just fill it with hot water on the smallest load setting, adding your ingredients, and then let it cycle through as if you were washing clothes, and then shut it off before it drains. or after, depending on what youre making and how big it is. he said washing machine chili is the best fucking chili he's ever had, it just gives him the runs like no tomorrow.
has anyone else heard of doing this?
anyone else have anything else you can use to make food with that is not traditionally for that purpose?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably gives him the runs because the detergent from previous cycles lines the walls of the interior, he's eating poison (assuming he's telling the truth and not trying to trick you in to fucking your machine up).
Man I'm going to tell that to someone tomorrow, it's gotta be some kind of trick to get someone to put chili in the washing machine, LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What a genius.

Smells like bullshit, but try it anyway and tell us how it works out

im assuming that the washing machine is specifically for cooking, lest their clothes smell like beans.
though wasnt there an episode of braniac (a cheesy, british parody of science shows) where they cooked scrambled eggs in a dryer?

This is the kind of story that Uncles say to get you warmed to the idea of molestation.
Interesting concept. In theory it could work but sounds funny.... Id really like to see someone try this.

Obviously they spray down the washing machine with a hose before and after cooking so as not to be eating detergent remains or have chili seasoning residue in their clothes...
I can't personally try it because 1) there's no way I alone could eat a washing machine full of chili, and 2) I live in a dorm and it's just not feasible to use the public machines on the top floor for cooking in.
Throw a chili party at the public machines.
I've never heard of something like this being done.

Sounds like a good way to fuck up your washing machine. Clog up your drainage with chili.

That's some hillbilly shit. The last thing I want to know is if my house is burning down, my town's firefighters are out cooking chili in a fucking washing machine and smoking meth.
I've heard a story of an old lady cooking fish in a Dish Washer, but not a washing machine.

That reminds me of a story I've heard of an obese woman using a dish washer as a toilet. She was living in a trailer and the tiny little closet where the toilet was at was too cramped for her, so she'd just stand out in the kitchen/dining/living area, open the dish washer, and back her ass up to it and let it go.

Fucking this. Although I am loving the stories about non traditional uses of household appliances.

How in the fuck do you 'cook' food in a washing machine; there is no heat source. The only washer people cook in is a dishwasher.
