I have many cans of red kidney beans and Tortillas.

How do i turn them into bean tacos?

What do i do with the beans?

i am guessing what you are after is refried beans. normally this is done with pinto beans or in some cases black beans. however i do not see why one could not use kidney beans. here is a recipe that i use.

a few cans of beans
1 bay leaf
1 or 2 slices of baccon
1/2 chopped yellow onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1 or 2 minced, seeded jalapeno
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water or dark beer
a few pinchs of cayenne
1/2 teaspoon chopped oregano

Directions

In a pan, cook your bacon until it is crisp, remove it from the pan an crumble it up. next add your onions to the bacon grease an cook till translucent 4 min about. then add your garlic. cook till fragrant about 2 min. now add 1/4 cup water or beer. add your chili powder, cumin, bay leaf, salt, and cayenne, and cook, stirring, until fragrant and most of the liquid is gone. add the oregano, and the jalapeno and stir to combine. now add your beans and the rest of your liquid. Cook for a few minutes. then began to mash the beans with a potato masher or a the back of a spoon. a fork will work here as well. cook for about five minutes stirring with a heavy wooden spoon, until the mixture forms a thick paste. now stir in your bacon and remove your bay leaf.

and there you have it, refried beans. for your tacos just add a layer of beans, some chopped green cabbage, a bit of pico de gaio, and some queso fresca.

for that recipe i usually use two cans. though i think you could sneak a third can in there with out losing too much flavor.

You mean you're gonna just put refried beans on tortillas and call it tacos and eat it like that?

nah, i told him to add some cabbage for texture, some pico for heat, and some queso fresco for sheer win.

a plain bean taco would be far to taco bell-ish. now if he follows all my advice, well that is something else i guess.

Even taco bell would have other shit.

Fuck now I want some taco bell. Well, food in general really. But all I got to go home to is a case of ramen noodles or easy mac. Ugh.
