So my girlfriends brother purchased a netbook. He wanted me to install Tiger Woods PGA 07 onto said netbook. So I used my computer to rip an ISO of the game, then loaded it into Daemon Tools and installed it. Everytime I go to run the game the splash screen pops up, then goes directly to an error, thus not allowing the game to start.

I have tried reinstalling numerous times, I've patched the game, updated Windows (XP Service Pack 3), tried a no-disc patch, and even tried making a different ISO. I've googled issues on the game, and none sound similar to the issue I am encountering. &T, I thank you for your time and any help.

Or dont. Netbooks have hardly any 3d processing power.

What errors exactly??? You might be needing one of those directx updates. But in all likelyhood its the lack of fast enough video hardware to run the game. As said, netbooks arent known for having much 3d processing power.

Yes, it is some sort of DirectX error, and even with the most current MS updates it still does not run.

I found a list of games that have already been tested on the exact same netbook (Acer Aspire One). It's rather funny, Far Cry runs on it, but fucking Tiger Woods does not.

The specs are as follows: Intel Atom 1.8 GHz, 1GB of RAM, and a 120GB HDD. Not sure on the onboard gpu's specification, but I do know it's a shitty Intel chip.


Also, I recently saw a USB 'video card' from ATI, and was wondering if it would be worth for him to purchase.

lol, yes. not a big deal though, he's content with far cry. he only wanted tiger woods on it, because he had it laying around the house anyways.
