When the Y2K scare was big, I'm ashamed to say I bought into it. A more sober-minded friend told me, when I asked him what would happen on THE day, said "Not a damn thing."

That's what I think will happen on Dec. whatever. All that Mayan calendar stuff is nonsense. Check out the New Age section at the bookstore; there must be dozens of books on the topic, which makes me wonder: if the world is supposed to end, what's the point of publishing a book about it? And if the world is just supposed to go through some "major" change or upheaval, which of the thousands of books have the proper interpretation?

All of it is pure profiteering and playing on people's stupidity, gullibility and paranoia. And oh, how I want to get in on it. Seriously. I want to cash in on this 2012 thing, or maybe even lay the groundwork for, say, a 2019 scare.

How about it, Totse? We spread out all over the web, making bullshit posts about how the REAL threat to mankind is not in three years but in ten. All the 2012 stuff is a smokescreen to desensitize us for when the shit actually hits the fan. Or something. Get everybody worked up, get them buying our materials, our books, our prayer cloths, our lucky rabbits' feet, etc.

Ask Spectral. He's got more theories (aka nonsensical bullshit) than all the books in the New Age section combined.

If anything, this whole hype surrounding 2012 is misunderstanding at the very least. Mayans held time to be cyclical, therefore the idea of a doomsday is incompatible with Mayan interpretation. And of course, there are always the inflammatory bastards that make millions selling horseshit books about the topic.

If anything happens, it will happen in the next week. Otherwise, God probably isn't real, and our existence is meaningless.

There is a 50% chance 2 billion people will die, including all of the United States, by the end of this month. That is based on truth.

It has reached the point where the wicked can no longer find refuge with the LORD, as judgment is upon us.

We are all totally horsefucked.

And the Anunaki, winged draco reptillians, and various greys, along with the subterranian races, who post in half baked, will arrive in planet X in May, and feed on the corpses of the americans all summer.

This sound like a joke, and I will not waste time attempting to convince you otherwise, scince it is too late for any real action to be taken.

you know why the mayans stopped their calendar at 2012? cause they figured 1 millennium was enough for one calendar. you dont really expect them to have mapped out every single day from 1000bc to infinity do you?

that task would have been borderline impossible, not to mention completely impracticable. do you have any idea how large that stone would be? or how many man hours it would take to map out infinity?

the world is not ending in dec 2012ad jus like the world did not end on dec 2000ad, jus like the world did not end on dec 1000ad, etc.

Well, lostmyface, to the capable intellectual, that's a given fact. But the problem here stems that ignorant people spend millions on books full of bullshit claims and ideas and make a fuss over the content. And I'm not talking about the Bible.

the world isnt gonna end on the date thats just retarded. And as stated earlier shows absolutely no understanding of the mayan calendar.

Supposdly some monks in Tibet used remote viewing to look into the future and they said some aliens are gonna save us from shit goin down in 2012. Google it youll find it if ur interested.
