i was driving around pleasant hills(unincorperated) WV and a cop from mabscott WV pulls me over after following me for a mile or so.
first he says "do you know why i pulled you over"
i reply "i haven't put the sticker on my tag because of the snow but i have it right here"
so he says "let me see it along with you driver's license and registration"
then he comes back and asks " what are all these weapons in your back seat"
i reply "they are for hunting sir"
he then proceeds to check all the serial numbers on my guns then he gives me a hard time saying "you know i could get you in a lot of trouble for having that rifle in a case because it would be considered a concealed weapon but i'll let you off this time"

then he asks "are there any drugs in the car"
i reply "no" so he says "then it would be ok for me to search your car?"
i say "no i'm in a hurry to get to the doctor's office before they close for the holidays"
he asks me 50 questions about going to the doctor.
then tells me "wait here while i get a drug dog"

then after wasting another 10 minutes of my time he comes back and says "i'm giving you a ticket for going 47 in a 30 i could arrest you for reckless driving but i'm not going to."

i say " thank you officer" sign the paper saying i will appear in court and leave.

thing is i was not speeding!!! its nearly impossible to speed in this curvey area especially when you are behind another car going the speed limit!

i really feel like he was just looking for a reason to get me into trouble.

so i plan to plea "not guilty" in court.
what will happen?

i mean was the cop out of his jurisdiction? can a mabscott WV cop give me a ticket in pleasant hills(unincorperated) WV?

this is how to get out of PETTY offences:

-take it to court
-PHONE IN at least 3days before court date to say you'll be sick or on business it doesn't matter
-Do this again if you can or at least try to delay as long as possible
-By the time it's supposed to go to court the officer will probably not show up or not be able to find his notes on the incident after a year.
-you pay nothing case dismissed

Where I live you don't have to give a statement under any circumstance, besides name, addresse, DOB, as well as show, not "hand over" a driver's license, and that last one is only if you happen to be driving a motorized vehicle.

What a douche. At least the bribes here are fast, no questions, no time wasted. Fucking cops, I'm gonna molotov a couple of cop cars one day. One very, very good day. :mad:

I think in pretty much any country they can say you're obstructing justice if you don't co-operate with a police officer.

My name is Officer Shay with the Mabscott, WV police department. I know the officer that pulled you over. I have looked into your case and noticed a few things. First off, In the last 2 years you have bought 3 deer tags and not claimed any deer. This leads me to believe you suck at hunting. Also, Considering that piece of shit car you were in I doubt you were going past the speed limit and surprised you were even driving. This leads me to believe you need to commit a 45-20 (Suicide)...Good Day
