I live in California. I was pulled over by an officer the other day and received a fix-it ticket or be fined $143. It was for not having my license plate that was sitting on my dash mounted to my front bumper.

The thing about mounting the license plate is that it's an after market grill and bumper, so there aren't any holes pre-drilled into it. How would I go about this project and what would I need to complete it? Should I just have a professional (don't know what kind...) do it so it doesn't look like it's going to fall off? How much would this cost? Where are the possible places to have the license plate mounted, other than the middle, that would still be in legal put it at? Should I just pay off the fine and go about as if this didn't happen?

Later on that evening, I started noticing lots of Mercedes, BMW's, and other trucks that didn't have a license plate at all in the front of their vehicles. Why me :mad::mad:

Yea, but it'll probably look silly. (Btw, how is advertising on totse working out for you? I noticed your site under the sponsored linked block a little while ago. :))

Definitely post a pic of the bumper.

My Fiero front plate mounts onto four metal anchors. Really similar to this, except without the teeth: http://zenstoves.net/Supplies/Fasteners/DryWallAnchor.jpg

I would highly recommend using some of those instead of straight screws, since screws would more easilly strip and they look ugly if you decide to take off the plate. If you have an open mouth that isn't going to be straight (like this (http://www.v8-fiero.us/_borders/1987%20Fiero%20GT%206-24-06%20%202.jpg)) you may need to fab up some mounts for the top or bottom out of aluminum or steel. You might even be able to just fab up a mount using decently thick sheet steel and paint it afterwards.

It's working very well thank you. I'm getting about 8000 hits a day, with about 60 people actually looking at my site. The funny thing is I never signed up for any advertising, and I just noticed it yesterday. Someone must really like me.

That's great to hear. Free advertising never hurt anyone, right? :)

Maybe we will see some updates soon? :D:)
