what is the best place to hide a gun in a car? and if you were pulled over from coming from doing something with it, would it be best just to let the cops search the car?
i think the best place would be like to pop the hood, go do what you needed to do, and when you got back, open up the air filter box and put it there, close the hood and drive off. what are some other ideas? opening and closing the air filter box might take too much time.

Yeah never give permission. You may seem slick, but really its not. He will either need probable cause or a warrant.

He can bring out his dog ( if he has one, or he can call one especially if the area is known for narcotics and such ) and give it a false command to signal detected narcotics. Then he proceeds to seach anyway.

if something happened, and you didn't give permission to search the car, then i figure if he gets a warrant then he'll really search the car. but i've never heard of a cop searching the engine compartment. especially not if you gave him permission.
I would like to tell you how my friend but Then the info would be leaked to cops. Just brainstorm really hard.

My favorite place for a small gun was under the flap under my E-brake handle.... there were two rubber flaps like a vagina almost and I could stick a small gun in there. I used it for weed a few times too.

Fuck hiding a gun, keep that shit in the open or at most the trunk or glove box. No reason to hide a gun if its legal.

I assume he's talking about a handgun, and for that you have to have a license. More than likely he can only get a concealed weapons license at most, which is just that, concealed. Hence the hiding of the gun. Even if the po ask him to pull out his gun so they can see it, it becomes unconcealed and they can bust you. They're just cool like that.
Hiding the gun in the air filter is actually a pretty good idea if you want it to be hard to find. If you just want to know where to put it so you can get to it but it isn't immediately visible, under the seat should do, or even the glove box. If you don't want to bother with popping the hood but you want it to be a little more difficult to find, if you have back seats the fold up, just stick the gun between the seats and the trunk as you fold it back. Another option is a bunch of duct tape and the under carriage of your car, but you risk losing it that way.
Whatever the case, do not allow them to search your car. If you say they can search it, they can slash your tires and upholstery and rip everything out and legally leave you there on the side of the road. If you say no, they more than likely won't want to bother waiting around for a search warrant, unless you're acting suspicious.
Before you do anything stupid, or before you pop the guy you're thinking about, learn your rights, the law, and how to get around the system.
Edit: I just noticed your username. I believe sawed-off anything is illegal no matter what, so you better go with hiding it. But, then again, since you were talking about putting it in the air filter, you probably were referring to a handgun.
Isn't a unconcealed weapon legal?
Isn't that why you have to have a gun rack to carry a rifle?
I mean what's the point of a concealed weapon if you can never take it out?
If you shoot someone should you cover it with a pillow case so no one can see it?

lol wut?
If you have a CCW and are in the county you have one for you're good. You can't get busted for pulling out the gun when he asks for it. That's ridiculous. Most CCW courses advocate handing him your CCW with your DL and registration so he knows you have it. If he wants you to hand it over for inspection or whatever they can't just bust your for that.
