I've been doing some research involving the Bardo-Thodol, also known as the Tibetan Book of the Dead, and the drug DMT. I've heard it been said that the chemical DMT is released when you are born and when you die. Is this true? Because if so, I may have found either a profound or meaningless correlation. DMT is stored in the pineal gland and the pineal gland develops in a human fetus after 49 days, the exact same number of days it says in the Bardo-Thodol that it takes a human soul to reincarnate. As I said, it could be a meaningless correlation, but if it's true that DMT is released when you are born and when you die then I may add a tad bit more weight to some of my theories.
