Even though I have only frequented totse since 2005, I still think totse is a magnificent thing , and by far the best website on the internet.
Now I might actually get stuff done in my free time, but they'll all pale in comparison to wasting my time on totse.

I’ll try to keep this short and sweet because I know none of you really care. Totse was the first BBS that I ever joined. I joined it around the age of 15, but I’d been lurking here for much longer reading the archives. I think I first stumbled upon it when I typed in something about home made bombs back when I was just a kid. I’m 21 now and hardly come here any more, but I used to. The closing of this site is like hearing of an old childhood friend’s passing to me. You know, like one that you hadn’t heard from in years. I wish it wasn’t going to happen, and I honestly thought it never would, but Totse will be gone soon. It’s a place where I spent hours of my angst ridden teen years posting and reading posts both interesting and insipid alike. To all of you who might have been around back when I posted here a lot, I wish you the best. Thanks for, at least in a small way, being my friends.

A place filled with the great minds of my generation, the clever youth, who you could actually have a decent discussion with. Please, if you read just one last post, let this be it and consider what I'm I am trying to get across to you over the phone lines.

I knew the day would come when you would finally pull the plug on Totse.com I didn't want to accept it, but I guess the day has finally come. I must say though, even though it's just a website, this has to be one of the saddest days yet for me, just like I'm sure it's one of the saddest for most of the user base and almost all of the moderation staff.

When I discovered this site years ago. I found a home. A place where I was completely different from everyone else. Yet I was accepted, and felt comfortable here. Something I have never felt anywhere else. I was amazed, for I could find anything and everything I ever wanted to know. Finding Totse was the equivalent of being given the most sought after thing in the universe. Knowledge. When you started Totse.com I believe that you were trying to accomplish just that. To reach out to people and provide them with something. Provide them with a power of unmatchable force. Totse has done just that for thousands of us. You have given all of us an unmatchable gift and have impacted our way of life, and our minds.

For those of us that were able to discover Totse and call this place home for several years will not be the same without. I'm not trying to tell you what to do with what has been your for the past 20 years, I'm just putting some things out there.

One of them is keeping the site. Maybe adding a premium account system for a little extra money and adding Zok as a full site Administrator to take care of some of the work load. Zok is more then capable to help run things. Meeting him over the past weekend has shown me that his is trustworthy, knows what he's talking about and is more then capable of running this place along side you. I have faith in him.

A second, is to sell Totse. To pass on the torch to someone else. To give others the chance to discover this wonderful place, and to recieve the same gift that you have given to us. There are more then willing buyers and supporters of Totse. For example, Deus Redux. He has the capabilities, and I've grown to trust him very much.

Please. Jeff. let it be one of those two. Instead of pulling the plug. The Totse.com staff begs of you and I speak on their behalf when I say that we are here for Totse, like Totse has been here for us all these years. We do not want to see it go. Let us keep giving the gift that those of us now were so fortunate to receive.

I had a great time with you guys. For many a years Totse was my main source of entertainment - seeing as there is nothing but garbage on TV these days - you have all provided many lulz for me during tough times and I have provided many lulz for others with my asinine and absurd posts through my various troll accounts. I have even contributed intelligent conversation at times - but I really feel at home providing the many with trolling lulz.

Totse will always be a pinnacle of the internet - it is the very essence and manifestation of our thoughts and what is surrounding our personal reality.
