Hi guys,

In light of recent events, namely the closure of our beloved - I have been doing some thinking, about how great this site has been, blah blah blah, and I thought of an idea to save/restore it:

At the present, due to work and inheritance - I have some spare cash lying around - numbers aren't important, but it would be a sufficient amount to run a website, register it and buy all the needed equipment.

What I don't have, however, is any free time or the technical know-how to run and manage a website.

What I am proposing is:

I will pay for all costs associated with running and maintaining a website, which will inevitably end up being subsidized by advertisements and donations and what-not, if I can get someone (or multiple people) to run, administrate, maintain and moderate the website.

The website will be, in essence, along the same lines as TOTSE/NOTSE - being as close to it as Jeff Hunter/copyright laws permit. We'd be looking at both the text-files and a forum, and perhaps some other features - I'm open to discussion.

1. Would people be interested?
2. Would people be willing to assist in running the site?
3. What are some names for our potential website?
4. What kind of costs (with equipment and domains and whatever) are we talking here?

Post in here or send email to nutzo@internode.on.net with your ideas, questions, feedback or whatever.

This is only an idea, I'm not promising anything - but if I can do this without any effort on my part and people are keen - then I have no problem paying the bills.

Let's talk logistics and let's talk money.

Go.

if jeff is truely shutting the site for good he would have no hesitations on selling the domain. A good page rank 5 domain like this could sell for over $1000 depending on the amount of views it gets each month. If you offer to buy the domain im sure he would give you an offer.

Totse is much too large of a populace and has too much culture for it to disappear. MANY People love this place and the ideals within it. I say we do this , but we will have to continue discussions on zoks board or somewhere else.

1. Would people be interested? YES

2. Would people be willing to assist in running the site?NOT ME

3. What are some names for our potential website?

TOTSE.COM BITCHES!!!

TOTSE.NET

TOTSE.ORG

4. What kind of costs (with equipment and domains and whatever) are you willing to pledge?

WILLING to pledge cash DOLLAZ (100-500?) to save my beloved community

I'm totally serious, as I said - totse has a mass populace - where are they all going to go now for their anarchy fix?

I also love the culture of totse...there is NO WHERE ELSE in the world that has the entertainment values of JENKEM , burngirl , live prayer/bill keller etc. and all the other great memories that have happened at totse. I will do all I can to help totse so we can continue to have more great adventures.
