The only thing I like about them are the special effects, but those happen at the end and the wrong people always get killed. This morning I watched some of "The Day After Tomorrow" - it made my stomach turn, I just couldn't stand it anylonger. There was also miscegenation included to make the audience feel sick. Disaster movies are just big done-up adverts, selling a variety of real products ("Dantes Peak" was advertising coffee all the time). Worst of all is the promotion of the idea that everyone is part of a big giant happy world family! The characters are always so weird, grinning, plastic, cheesy sickening turds? Pass me the sick bag please! So, does anyone else hate disaster movies? has anyone seen the blatant advertising as well as hippie "onion world" philosophy in these revolting pack of films?

I agree. :)
Why do all disaster movies have niggers in them, often in the lead role?
My advice is,stop watching them.It is Jewood vision,no better than TV which I no longer watch.
Best to stick to historical/mythological epics. You can`t go wrong with most of those.

Due to all that "hippie philosophy” all movies are disaster movies.

Livewire is referring to disaster movies as a specific genre. What he's complaining about in that genre is in all the movies.

No it isnt. Was it in Lord of the Rings?Didn't two different races marry at the end, even after the father contested it? Ah but love is more important, right? Or it doesn’t matter because as a viewer they were depicted as being white.

I think you are reading things into Tolkien that are just not there.

Wouldn’t today’s viewer come away with that thought though? Love overcomes race.

I think that you are being paranoid and "seeing reds under the bed."

I think that you are being paranoid and "seeing reds under the bed."I think you're letting it slip through the cracks because it would alter your opinion of the movie you love if you accepted my point.
