CORRECTION:
EARLIER, THIS WEB SITE CARRIED A LINK TO ANOTHER WEB SITE WHICH PURPORTED TO REVEAL THE HOME ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBERS OF MAN WHO WAS THE STAR WITNESS AGAINST MATT HALE.
Apparently, the web site with the original information mis-took someone by the same name, as being the star witness against Matt Hale. I have received rather convincing evidence that the original web site got this information wrong. This appears to be a case of mistaken identity. I do hereby apologize to the person who was wrongly named by that other web site and further apologize for linking to that other site.
In my own defense I did reach out to the person named and left messages earlier in the day seeking to verify the information, but they did not return my call until after 9:00 PM eastern time on Monday, which was several hours after I attempted to reach them. By that time, because the story about Matt hale's conviction was "breaking news" and thus urgent, I had already posted the link to the other web site! In addition, I do not know any of the parties involved in either the posting of the original info, nor those who purported to claim it was false. One source published the info and another source disputed it. I was in the middle.
Shortly after learning that this information may have been wrong, I posted a Notice on this site stating that the accuracy of the information was in question. Several hours later, I came to find out that the folks who had been named, felt as though they were in danger. Therefore, in the interest of protecting safety and properly resolving this matter, I have deleted the link to the other web site and posted this correction as of 12:05 AM EST on Tuesday April 27. Finally, I have been told that people mis-used information so as to make nasty phone calls. To those people I say: SHAME ON YOU. I am embarrassed that you would behave so badly. Thankfully, this entire situation was resolved from start to finish in under 6 hours. -- Hal Turner
