Yeah I thought about posting that but I didn't think it was on topic. But since its brought up that's one of my complaints about the new country. The new country which is just neo-traditionalism rock and sometimes pop. If you listen to guys like, Keith Urban or someone like that, if you removed one instrument its just rock. The core country is getting lost, its the murder on music row its coming true. I realized the change when I got into the older stuff like Hank Jr, Waylon Jennings and George Jones, I heard the core of country, the passion, the hallowed steel guitar and the great song writing. That core isn't lost in the genre now but its being commercialized.

On the topic of CMT, most of the videos are made by a few jews named Saloman & Goldmann. Plus a couple others, but the selection for directors is very small.

Kid Rock, I am getting really tired of, his metal stuff was pretty good, his country influenced stuff is well written, but he continues to want to ride the trend of the ghetto music of the popular culture today. He needs to find a damn genre and stick with it. If its country or hard rock then good. If its rap then I will never look at him another time.

It's not up-beat, their style ranges from dolorous up to moody. They are very inventive, the two of them and a Mackintosh G3 and drum-machine. Listen to the ghost story, "Cold, cold, cold."
What brought them to mind is that weird warbling instrument on one or two of their tunes. I was listening to the Flatlanders and heard the same sound on "I Thought the Wreck was Over." Handsome Family mentions a melodica. I've heard of something called something like theruman. Know anything about the instrument? Flatlanders might have a saw, sounds somewhat like that.
